Normally I wouldn't post this sort of email to any list, but I have
to get this off my chest. Its been bugging me for some time. I hope
I don't offend anyone.
I am not a regular poster to this list. This is true for 2 reasons.
One, I'm not the kind of person who takes criticism from strangers
well and I see a lot of that here. Two, I really can't stand that
almost every other post is some kind of back and fourth argument
about this, that and the other thing. It was my understanding that
this board was for Letterboxing. Any way, shape, or form of
letterboxing. Perhaps I'm mistaken. I haven't been at this long.
I think it would be a whole lot more pleasant, and easier to read for
that matter, if people could keep the chatter to topics relevant to
LBing. Who said what, or how, or when or whatever is really not so
important to talk about for as long as it seems to go on. I'm quite
sure no one means to hurt anyone's feelings, but when you publicly
call someone out for whatever reason, it does. If you really need to
comment on something negatively wouldn't a private email be more
appropriate?
Basically, it just seems like everyone is angry about something at
some point or another. The LBers that I have met in person don't
seem to be like this, so I don't understand why it happens so much on
the list. My point? There's got to be a way to keep peace on the
chat list.
Again, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just needed to get this out
before I burst from frustration.
Thanks for listening (reading),
